3D Printing Request

3D printer photo - Creative Commons license3D Printing is now available at Lincoln City Libraries. You can come in for training or send requests to be printed.

The 3D printers are available on a rotating basis; here is the schedule. Contact the library location for more information about signup schedules and open printing times.

3D printing is subject to these rules:

Files must be printable in less than four hours. Printers may run only when staff is in the building.

Price is based on the total weight of the item printed (5 cents per gram).

Lincoln City Libraries reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request, including but not limited to:

  • Any items prohibited by local, state, or federal law.
  • Unsafe, harmful, or dangerous items.
  • Print violates another person’s property rights.
  • We will not print materials that are subject to copyright, patent, or trademark protection.
  • Item not compatible with our 3D printers.

Please specify the dimensions you want your item to be. Our 3D printers can accept jobs up to 6.2x6x6 inches in size. We do have a larger printer that can accept jobs up to 11x11x9.8 inches in size, but availability of that printer is limited.

By clicking "Submit" you are agreeing to pay for the cost of printing the item. Price is based on the total weight of the item printed (5 cents per gram). Customer will receive an estimate before printing, but price will be calculated by weight upon completion.

Staff will queue files for printing and will notify customer when print is completed.
