Our Apps

OverDrive’s Libby app is designed to make borrowing and enjoying eBooks and audiobooks easier. Libby is available for Android 5.0 or higher and iOS 9 or higher, and is available from Google Play or the App Store. Libby is now available for Fire tablets in the Amazon Appstore; please note that this may not work on some Fire tablets. More information about Libby is available here.

Please note: the older OverDrive App has been discontinued as of May 1, 2023. To continue to use our OverDrive collection on your mobile device, you will need to install the newer Libby app. Please check with Library staff if you need assistance.

hoopla provides streaming movies, TV shows, music, eBooks, audiobooks and comics to your browser or mobile device. Android and Apple apps are available from Google Play and the App Store. Transparent Language Online offers a comprehensive language learning solution. Quickly and easily learn a language, with a variety of courses and activities, in a flexible program. Over 100 different languages are available, with 1,500-2,000 words and phrases for every language. Also included are over two dozen ESL courses for those looking to learn English. Android and Apple apps are available from Google Play and the App Store.

After you register for an account, log in using a computer and click “Start Learning.” Then click the “Go Mobile” button to get a separate randomly generated password for use in the Transparent mobile app; a QR code you can scan instead of using the password to activate the app is also provided. If you are registering a new device and get a message saying that the maximum number of devices has been reached, please contact support@transparent.com and ask about increasing the number of activations.

The TumbleBook Library is a collection of TumbleBooks (animated, talking picture books) with fiction, non-fiction and foreign language titles, Read-Alongs (chapter books with sentence highlighting and narration but no animation), Ebooks which may be viewed online, and Tumble Puzzles & Games. Apps for Android and Apple devices are available. Additional information on getting started with the TumbleBooks app is available here.

The Peterson’s Test and Career Prep and Chilton Library are available via this app. Search for “Access My Library” in the App Store or Google Play. Users of devices with Android versions newer than Android 11 may not be able to see this app in Google Play.

With Beanstack, you can track your reading and completed activities in our community reading challenges to earn incentives and stay motivated to read more. The app allows you to scan barcodes to quickly add titles to your Log, record reading sessions to keep track of what you’re reading, view your time spent reading and titles read, check off activities as you complete them, and manage each member of your family’s reading log and activities. Search for “Beanstack Tracker” in the App Store or Google Play.

Special note for iPad users:

Because the current version of the Beanstack Tracker app isn’t optimized for iPad, it may not immediately show up when searching the App Store on an iPad. If you click on “Filters” in the upper left hand corner and change “Supports” from iPad only to iPhone Only, it should display and download correctly.
