About the Book:
This month's Read...Discuss...Repeat! selection falls into the increasingly popular category of Manga -- Japanese-created or -inspired graphic novels, aimed at the Teen/Young Adult market but often appealing to Adult readers. The Lincoln City Libraries has a growing collection of Manga available, primarily located in the Young Adult sections of each branch library.
"One day, Haruhi, a scholarship student at exclusive Ouran High School, breaks an $80,000 vase that belongs to the 'Host Club', a mysterious campus group consisting of six super-rich (and gorgeous) guys. To pay back the damages, she is forced to work for the club, and it's there that she discovers just how wealthy the boys are and how different they are from everybody else."
Our June 2009 selection comes to us as a patron suggestion. You can suggest titles to be used as future Read...Discuss...Repeat! selections. Just look for and click on the links or graphics anywhere on the RDR pages that say "Suggest a Title"!
