Lincoln City Libraries will be closed on Wednesday, November 11 in observance of Veteran's Day, and on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Short Story Contest Entry FormThe Nebraska Literary Heritage Association is sponsoring a "Written and Illustrated by..." Short Story Contest for students in grades K-8. The deadline for entering is February 7, 2010.

Rock the AuditoriumStudents in grades 6-12 are invited to a Rock Band Wii event on Tuesday, November 10 from 4:00 - 5:30 PM at Bennett Martin Public Library - popcorn and after-school fun, hosted by the BMPL Teen Advisory Board members.

Lincoln City Libraries Chess Tournament Join us Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 from 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM at Gere Branch Library for our Lincoln City Libraries Chess Tournament. All ages are welcome. Pre-registration is recommended.

America Recycles Day: Take the Pledge
America Recycles DayAmerica Recycles Day, November 15, is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products. During the month of October, pledge forms and boxes are placed at a number of locations (including Lincoln City Libraries locations) for residents to complete. People can also complete the pledge on-line. The completed pledge form serves as an entry into local prize drawings.
