One Book – One Lincoln – 2018 – Discussion Groups

one book one lincoln c450Discussion Opportunities – 2018

One of the main goals of One Book – One Lincoln is to encourage residents to read and openly discuss the same book. Talking about great literature with others often adds richness and depth to the experience of reading. We encourage you to join other members of the community in discussing the Top 3 Finalists for 2018. Everyone is welcome at all library-sponsored discussions; for most groups, there should be no need to pre-register.

We can provide a discussion leader for your group

So you want to have a One Book – One Lincoln discussion group, but you don’t have a discussion leader? This Spring, Summer and Fall, Lincoln City Libraries staff will be available to book groups, extension clubs, organizations and businesses interested in hosting a discussion group. For further information, call Lincoln City Libraries, 402-441-8592.

Book Club in a Bag!

BCinaBag-200Book Clubs and organizations now have the ability to check out several popular titles, including two sets of each of the three 2018 One Book – One Lincoln finalists, in a book club format. For each title, the Book Club in a Bag will contain 10 copies of that book as well as some starter discussion questions. Book Club in a Bag selections can be checked out for 8 weeks but with no renewals. You can find out what additional titles are available in the Book Club in a Bag program by searching in the library catalog under Subject: Book Club in a Bag.
