Lincoln Bird EnCOUNTerLincoln Bird EnCOUNTer

Walt Branch Library
This fun and educational family event is sponsored by Lincoln City Libraries, the Wild Bird Habitat Stores, Wachiska Audubon and Nebraska Games and Parks Commission.

People of all ages are invited to attend the event which includes crafts, games and a live raptor display. Participants will have the opportunity to make a burlap bag full of nesting materials or a pine cone feeder. The event also includes instruction on how to use binoculars for bird watching and how to identify bird songs.

Kids Can Learn About Taking Care of Their Teeth at Preschool Storytime in February
Teeth photoFebruary is Dental Health Awareness Month and Lincoln City Libraries is putting the spotlight on teeth! Staff from the Ameritas Group Division and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department, Dental Health and Nutrition Services, will be on hand during storytime to provide information about dental care. Homework HelpNow Homework HelpNow provides free homework help and online tutoring. Chat with a tutor through instant messaging from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, seven days a week for grades 3-12 in the areas of math, English, science, and social studies.

 NoveList K-8 NoveList K-8 is a tool to help you find books to read that you will enjoy.

SIRS DiscovererSIRS Discoverer is an interactive resource covering a wide range of subjects for grades 1 through 9. Access to Compton's Encyclopedia is included in this resource.

TumbleBook Library TBiblioteca TumbleBookumbleBook Library is a collection of TumbleBooks (animated, talking picture books) with fiction, non-fiction and foreign language titles, Read-Alongs (chapter books with sentence highlighting and narration but no animation), Ebooks which may be viewed online, and Tumble Puzzles & Games.
