3D Printing Request

3D printer photo - Creative Commons license

We are now accepting requests for 3D printing again. Do-it-yourself 3D printing and 3D printer training are not available at this time.

3D printing is subject to these rules:

Files must be printable in less than four hours. Printers may run only when staff is in the building.

Price is based on the printing time ($1 per hour).

Lincoln City Libraries reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request, including but not limited to:

  • Any items prohibited by local, state, or federal law.
  • Unsafe, harmful, or dangerous items.
  • Print violates another person’s property rights.
  • We will not print materials that are subject to copyright, patent, or trademark protection.
  • Items not compatible with our 3D printers.

Please fill out the form below; we cannot accept requests by e-mail. Jobs are printed on a first come first serve basis. Staff will acknowledge your request as we work through the queue. Items can only be printed during assigned staff hours. Printing times may vary based on length of queue and staff availability.

Fields marked with a * are required.

What do you want printed? *
Please provide a link to an STL file on Tinkercad or a similar website for the item you want printed. We cannot accept e-mailed attachments.

How big should it be? *
Please specify the dimensions you want your item to be. Our 3D printers can accept jobs up to 6.2x6x6 inches in size. We do have a larger printer that can accept jobs up to 11x11x9.8 inches in size, but availability of that printer is limited.

By clicking "Submit" you are agreeing to pay for the cost of printing the item. Price is based on the total time required for printing ($1 per hour, or portion of an hour). Customer will receive an estimate before printing, but price will be calculated upon completion.

Staff will queue files for printing and will notify customer when print is completed.
