The public is invited to attend a free read-in focusing on African-American literature and history. The event is hosted by the Youth Development Team of Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) and Lincoln City Libraries (LCL) as part of the local celebration of Black History Month. No reservations are required, and attendees may bring lunch.
The read-in from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 20 at Eiseley Branch Library, 1530 Superior Street, will include community stakeholders from business, the City and State and athletics.
The read-in represents an ongoing collaboration between LPS and LCL. The National Council for the Teachers of English hosts the National African American Read-In.
