Lincoln City Libraries Challenges Community to “Be a Reading Machine” This Winter

Lincoln City Libraries invites the community to participate in the Winter Reading Challenge from January 1 through January 31, 2025. This year’s theme, “Be a Reading Machine,” combines reading, activities, and Bingo for a chance to win prizes.

Participants earn virtual tickets for every hour of reading and each activity completed. Reading for 10 hours earns a Bingo and an extra ticket. Those who continue reading and completing activities can achieve a full-card Bingo to earn five additional tickets. Virtual tickets can be entered into prize drawings.

Prizes Include:

  • Three iPad9 devices (64GB)
  • Two Fire HD10 tablets

“This challenge is a fantastic way to stay engaged and motivated during the colder months,” said Ryan Wieber, Director of Lincoln City Libraries. “It’s an opportunity to connect with great stories, explore new ideas, and build lifelong reading habits.”

Participants can sign up on January 1, 2025 at lincolnlibraries.beanstack.org, the Beanstack app, or by visiting any Lincoln City Libraries branch. The challenge flyer serves as the Bingo card for marking completed squares. Information must be entered into Beanstack by 11:59 p.m. January 31, 2025, to qualify for prizes.
